The GOAL of Utah College Application Week is to help every high school senior complete
at least one college, technical college or university application.

#1. Apply to college
*If a student does not have a SSN they can still apply to college.
Step 1. Click on the "Colleges and Universities in Utah" tab (link below).
Step 2. Find the college logo for the school where you would like to apply. Click on the logo of the school to be taken to the application.
Step 3. Start by creating an account (username and password). You are applying as a Freshman.
Step 4. Apply for free! Applying does not obligate you, but rather gives you options in the Spring when it's time to decide what you will be doing next Fall or after deferment.
Step 4. Consider applying to 1+colleges today. Try for 3. BYU and the U of U applications will take longer, but you can start them today.
Step 5. After completing your college application(s) fill out the Transcript Request Form (link below) to have your high school transcripts sent. This is necessary to complete your application.
*When filling out the Transcript Request Form only check the boxes for the colleges where you have applied or will apply.

#2. create your Student aid.gov account.
(username and password to use when fafsa opens on dec. 1, 2024)
Creating your StudentAid.gov account is needed to apply for FAFSA. Filling out FAFSA is how you qualify for Pell Grants (grants don't have to be paid back), Work Study Programs, and Federal Student Loans. If a student does not have a social security number they may qualify for other opportunities to help pay for college like HB 144.
